2. Data We Collect
When you register or sign in via Google or Facebook, we collect your name and email address. Legal basis: performance of contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
You voluntarily enter your salary, working hours, and monthly expenses. This data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to Google Firebase Firestore to enable multi-device access. Legal basis: performance of contract and your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(a)).
The app does not verify, validate, or cross-check any financial figures you provide. All calculations are based solely on data you enter yourself and are provided for informational and personal use only. They do not constitute financial advice.
Items you scan or manually enter (price, category, work-time equivalent, decision) are stored locally and optionally synced to the cloud. Legal basis: performance of contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
The free version of the app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process data including device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization). See Google's Privacy Policy for details. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
Premium subscriptions are processed exclusively by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card details. See Google Payments Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide the app's core functionality (converting prices to work-time equivalents)
- To sync your data across your devices (if cloud sync is enabled)
- To track your savings goals and display statistics
- To send optional daily motivational notifications (only if enabled by you)
- To serve advertisements in the free tier via Google AdMob
- To process Premium subscription payments via Google Play Billing
We do not sell, share, or use your personal data for any purpose other than those listed above.
4. Third-Party Services

- Google AdMob (Google LLC) — advertising in the free tier

- ML Kit (Google LLC) — on-device text recognition for scanning price tags (no data is sent to Google servers)
Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party data practices.
5. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. maintain servers.
These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as required by the GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. For more information, see Google's GDPR commitments.
6. Data Retention
- Account & financial data: retained for as long as your account is active
- Purchase history: records older than 1 year are automatically deleted
- After account deletion: all personal data is deleted within 30 days
- Advertising data: governed by Google AdMob's own retention policies
7. Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Local data is stored in a private app database not accessible to other apps on your device. Cloud data is protected by Firebase security rules and Google infrastructure security.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

9. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA where required). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
11. Regional Privacy Rights
You can delete your account and all associated personal data directly in the app via Settings → Delete account. All data is removed within 30 days. Alternatively, visit our Data Deletion page or contact us at priceoftimesupport@gmail.com.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; the right to delete their personal information; and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Canadian residents may withdraw consent to our use of their personal information at any time, subject to legal restrictions. Most personal data (name, salary, expenses) can be updated directly in the app via Profile settings. Email address changes require contacting us. Quebec residents have additional rights under Law 25, including data portability and the right to be forgotten.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. Australian residents may access and correct most of their personal information directly via Profile settings in the app. Email address changes or data portability requests require contacting us.
We handle personal information in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). Personal data is used only for the purposes stated in this policy. Japanese residents have the right to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with South Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil its purpose and is securely destroyed thereafter. Korean residents have the right to access, correct or delete their personal information, and to request suspension of processing. Most data can be updated directly in the app via Profile settings.
